Why I Love Digital Notepads

Digimemo L2 Electronic Notepad

Our website is designed to give you the information you need to make good choices and find good deals on an electronic notepad and selected other accessories for your executive responsibilities.

I love my electronic notepad for so many reasons:

  • It is light and so easy to grab and go
  • It is NOT a battery hog; it can last for a couple of hundred hours
  • It uses common batteries that can be found almost anywhere making my digital notepad superior to a computer that must be charged often

But the number one reason I love my digital notepad is because it cuts my work in half. Specifically, I'm addressing all of the work involved in taking notes at meetings and then processing those notes so that they become tools I use to increase productivity and meet my professional objectives.

Time Is The Most Important Thing I Have

If I can avoid duplication and get something done in half the time I've accomplished a lot. How does an electronic notepad save me time? It does it by SIMULTANEOUSLY creating a hard copy and a digital copy of my notes and drawings.

The hard copy can be filed or shared, face-to-face with a colleague. Please don't overlook the power of the old, personal way of sharing. Face-to-face builds and strengthens relationships. It also lessens the chance of reading cues wrong since voice tone and body language are included with the old technology. Digital notepads allow us to hand the hard copy to a colleague for them to take on a plane or read over the next hurried lunch. This personal interchange is more intimate than an email in many ways and reinforces the concept that we are working together. Ah, but the digital copy is pregnant with possibilities.

The digital copy, created and saved at the time of notetaking, lets us easily edit, revise, highlight, annotate, add arrows and symbols, and share over any of the formats available through the Internet. We can drop the file into our shared folder on Dropbox. We can email it as an attachment. Share it on GoogleDocs. Post it to our blog. Add to Facebook. Tweet it. And on and on.

Scan? Watch Your Mouth

Gone are the days of scanning each page of my notes. An electronic notepad creates the digital copy as I write, print, draw, and brainstorm to create both a hard copy and a digital copy of all my brainwork.
